Short walk from the house:
Three beaches (Ocean Grove, Asbury Park and Bradley Beach) are all within a short walk (Two blocks East on McClintock Street).
SEA HEAR NOW is an annual music and surfing festival hosted in Asbury Park every September. Dozens of world class musicians join annually to perform on stages overlooking the ocean. Past headliners have included Pearl Jam, The Foo Fighters, Billy Idol, Dave Matthews Band, Incubus, Jack Johnson, Stevie Nicks, Green Day, Weezer and more. 2024 will feature Bruce Springsteen and Noah Kahan. (a 10-minute walk: East on McClintock Street, left on to the Boardwalk).
Experience a concert overlooking the beach at the world famous, Stone Pony and Stone Pony Summer Stage. (a 10-minute walk: East on McClintock Street, left on to the Boardwalk, between 1st and 2nd on Ocean Ave).
Explore the small shops on Main Ave in Ocean Grove. (Three blocks South on Central Ave)
Looking to surf or boogie board? Ocean Grove has a section of beach specifically for you. (East on McClintock Street, left on the Boardwalk, enter the last beach entrance before Asbury Park).
Visit “The Great Auditorium” – Built in 1894, this Victorian-era auditorium hosts concerts and performances throughout the year. (One block North on Central Ave)
Rent electric scooters and explore the quaint Victorian homes and beach landscapes. The boardwalks allow riders each morning and night. This is one of our favorite things to do. (Asbury Park has scooters available to rent all around town).
Visit the many art galleries in downtown Asbury Park. (North on Central Ave, Across the walking bridge, left towards downtown Asbury Park / Cookman Ave).
Enjoy the Silverball Retro Arcade, featuring over 200 pinball machines and classic video games, Skee Ball, Air Hockey and more. (A 10-minute walk. East on McClintock Street, left onto the Boardwalk).
Walk down to Ocean Grove’s brand-new pier and enjoy the fresh ocean air or bring your rod and reel and enjoy the fishing. (East on McClintock Street, right onto the Boardwalk).
Rent a paddle board and test your balance and endurance against the surf. (East on McClintock Street and head onto the beach)
Take a run- or walk-through Founder’s Park and around Wesley Lake to the Boardwalk and finish on Ocean Grove’s new pier. The scenery and ocean breeze will get your heart pumping.
Looking for the nightlife? Check out Watermark, Porta, Asbury Festhalle and Biergarten, Wonder Bar, Stella Marina, Laylow or Johnny Macs. (All a 10-minute walk into Asbury Park)
BridgeFest is Ocean Grove’s two-day family Christian Festival with teachings from On-Air Bridge Radio Pastors. Hosted every year in June. (One block North on Central Ave)
The Ocean Grove Chamber of Commerce hosts special events all year. Vintage car shows, flea markets, Arts and Crafts Show, Summer Strolls, Holiday House Tours, Harvest Festivals and more. (Three blocks South on Central Ave to Main Ave).
The Ocean Grove Camp Meeting Association offers a full calendar of events including Sunday morning beach services, Gospel music ministries, Age specific learnings (kids, teens, adults), tours of the Great Auditorium, Junior Lifeguard trainings, Choir rehearsals, Bible studies and more. (One block North on Central Ave)
The Asbury Park Boardwalk features live music and entertainment most nights of the week. Plus they host Bonfires on the beach most Wednesday or Fridays all summer long. (a 10-minute walk: East on McClintock Street, left on to the Boardwalk)
Short Drive:
Charter boats for New Jersey Shore deep sea fishing are found in several shore points locally. (Belmar and Point Pleasant are 15 to 25 minutes away.)
Jenkinson’s Aquarium features turtles, penguins, sharks, and more. Traveling with kids? Be sure to check out their special Mermaid events. (25-minute drive).
Love wildlife? Whale watching expeditions will take you to see Humpbacks, Fin, North Atlantic right, Minke, dolphins and porpoises. All are regularly spotted and if you’re lucky, you may even catch a breach. (15 minutes to Belmar)
New Jersey Annual Sandcastle Contest happens every July in Belmar between 17th and 19th Street (15-minute Drive to Belmar)
The PNC Arts Center is an outdoor amphitheater that hosts an annual concert series from May through September. Offering a very eclectic mix of musical genres, there is no shortage of star power each year and the 17k+ attendees sprawled across both the seats and lawn area behind the seats make for an amazing atmosphere. (25 minutes to Holmdel).
Holland Ridge Farms is a 300+ acre property that offers the best floral experience in the Garden State. Every April, millions of rainbow tulips burst into bloom. Every September, fields of Sunflowers, gladiolus, dahlias and calla lilies explode with colors. Live musicians, animals, food trucks and photo props add to the vibe. (36 minutes to Cream Ridge, New Jersey).
Looking to Party? D’Jais, Bar Anticipation, Jenks, Martell’s Tiki Bar, The Parker House, The Osprey, The Headliner, The Columns and more are all an Uber away (20 minutes or less).

The Starving Artist – Popular place with a seasonal, garden-facing patio serving breakfast classics and lunch standards.
Days – For over 130 years, Days has been the place for homemade ice cream. The lines can be rough during summer weekend nights, but it’s worth the wait.
Moonstruck: Upscale eatery with American-Mediterranean fare, plus a large wine list, live piano music & a bar. Ask the sit on one of their outdoor balcony’s overlooking Wesley Lake.
SeaGrass Restaurant – A BYOB restaurant specializing in seafood and meaty American mains. We love to bring the family and sit outside right on Main Ave.
Stella Marina – Trendy boardwalk option for Italian dining. They offer patio seating with ocean views.
Watermark – Sleek, sprawling bar & lounge with a fireplace & waterfront deck, serving cocktails & tapas.
Taka – Best Japanese restaurant in the area serving inventive cuisine & a wide range of sushi.
The Speakeatery – Awesome place for lunch. Their specialty sandwiches are delicious. Strongly recommend “The Pickle Focker.”
Cardinal Provisions – Relaxed, brick-walled brunch spot serving breakfast, sandwiches & creative plates.
Porta – Spacious & vibrant pizzeria serving Neapolitan pies, pastas, salads, cocktails & craft beer. Known for its transformation into a night club after dinner concludes.
Asbury Ale House – Lively, roomy hangout with many beers on tap, comfort food entrees, shuffleboard & weekly bar pong.
Johnny Macs House of Spirits – Eccentric watering hole with cozy smoking chairs & draft beer galore plus free pizza with a drink.
